Nandasiddhi Sayadaw was not a bhikkhu whose fame reached far beyond the specialized groups of Burmese Buddhists. He did not establish a large meditation center, publish influential texts, or seek international recognition. Yet among those who encountered him, he was remembered as a figure of uncommo
